Conversations With US, or CWU, is the story of author Chris Register’s bicycling journey into the heart of America, on a mission to address those questions. After trekking some 16,000 miles and interviewing nearly 400 Americans and others, Chris formed the independent publishing company Spoke & Word Books to take CWU’s story from pedal to print (and audio, and digital) so that readers can ride along on this epic exploration of US. Spoke & Word Books has thus far published two of a projected eight CWU volumes covering all 50 of the United States.
