Inner Flower Child Books
Illustrator/Co-Founder
Los Angeles
Courtenay Fletcher is an award-winning children’s book illustrator and designer, committed to creating beautiful books that inspire children of all ages. In 2012, she co-founded Inner Flower Child Books with author Susan Schaefer Bernardo, and together they successfully illustrated, crowd-funded and indie published their first children's book, Sun Kisses, Moon Hugs. This led to a rewarding collaboration with LeVar Burton on The Rhino Who Swallowed a Storm, a book which orbited the Earth on the ISS as part of the Story Time From Space program. In 2017, she illustrated The Big Adventures of Tiny House, and she recently completed The Artist Who Loved Cats, a picture book biography of Theophile Steinlen, creator of the famous Le Chat Noir poster.

Courtenay attended UC Berkeley and graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. She has worked as an advertising art director in LA, Chicago and New York, as well as a photographer, graphic designer and book cover designer -- until she discovered her true calling in children's book illustration!
