Navigating the Middle Ground: Full-Service Distribution Alternatives for Small Press Publishers

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Small press publishers face unique challenges in effectively distributing their books into the market. Full service distribution options may require too much upfront investment, while not always targeting the right audience for your books.

A wholesale distribution model may activate your content for sale in retail and library channels, but does little to attract readers and encourage them to make a purchase.

This session will teach publishers how to access the best sales channels for their content, how to drive an appropriate audience to your books’ product pages, and how to convert readers to sale by leveraging the right tools and services. We will cover everything from developing the best package for your content to pricing your books for global markets, to optimizing your book detail pages and managing the buy buttons on retail sites. Attendees will leave the session with a checklist of steps to successfully launching a book into the market and list of resources to help.
